Interviewer: Why did you name your book “The Roads of Florence”?
Fiorella Linda Gutiérrez Lupinta: For love and for a promise. My grandmother was called Florencia, she went through a difficult stage with the disease of diabetes and in the last years of my life I slept with her, since I had studied technical nursing and sometimes I had to wake up in the early morning to attend to her. It is really very difficult and painful to see that a family member is about to leave this life. Well I made her a promise I told her that the first book she would write would be named after her and that's how it was in the dedication you can find my grandmother's photo and the first poem is dedicated to my grandmother Florence. I remember a lot that my grandmother told me infinite stories, she was from Huancayo and thanks to her I know a lot of stories that are popular in the beliefs of the province. I feel that she guides me from heaven and that she has been my strength, my drive, my motivation. And I can tell you that to this day I dream of her, it is almost constant to dream of her.

You can also find poems that decipher youth such as: love, using terms from biology, despair, depression, romanticism, happiness. In addition there are poems that tell you of an eternal love that I have written especially so that the spouses can dedicate them to them, in those verses you will find the wonders that the soul can express and I have also thought of older adults and I have written these poems especially for them , addressing themes that touch the human fiber such as loneliness, memory, sadness, the philosophy of life, time, death, happiness, the farewell to life.

Interviewer: Besides writing, what other activities do you do in art?
Fiorella Linda Gutiérrez Lupinta: Well from a very young age I have always loved singing, I perfectly remember my performances in different rock bands when I was 15 years old. Now I am the vocalist of “12 universos”, a rock band that I have formed.
I am also an actress and director of the "Florence theater cast", which I formed in the year 2018. This year I direct and act in a theatrical play by myself "The Unexpected Arrival", which touches on subjects as sensitive as: the abuse of power , prostitution, alcoholism, rape, etc. It is an enriching acting experience for me as I represent a character named Maquenda who has to deal with all the aforementioned issues.
Finally I can tell you that I am painting, you know I feel it as a necessity and I am doing it. I am preparing some abstract paintings, the colors and their combinations have always caught my attention and what we can express through the painting is incredible.
Interviewer: How much did it cost you to dedicate yourself to art?
Fiorella Linda Gutiérrez Lupinta: Ugh, give up a formal job with all the comforts, invest in my art, stop buying clothes or jewelry that I like, cope with personal problems so as not to affect my creations, schedule presentations without receiving anything in return just the love of the people, do not hesitate because otherwise I can not project myself or do what I am working on in my creation, accept rejections in a good way with calmness, be staunch in my creations and I think that the most difficult to get away from fears, you know I have a phrase “The fear is the worst backwardness of man ”, I use this phrase a lot to help me. I tell you that my parents are artists and since I was little I have always guided myself along this path acting, singing, writing, but it was only last year that I removed a little these fears to show what you do, to show your art.
Interviewer: Why do you write poetry and what is your vision of writing in the world?
Fiorella Linda Gutiérrez Lupinta: Because I feel a need to express music, life, death and art through my writings, I feel that poetry makes me show my essence, my idiosyncrasy, my truth, it makes me do magic and it envelops its magic.
My vision of writing in the world is to weave networks of writing and reading in any of its literary genres (Novel, short story, poetry, plays, essays, etc.) through dissemination, awareness of art and non discrimination, I touch on this topic because many times I have heard writers say "I write novels and therefore it is more difficult" or "I am on another level". I believe that all art should be appreciated and respected in any of its fields and in any of its forms.
